Château de Rochemorin White 2019

Château de Rochemorin | White

AOC Pessac-Léognan

Presentation

The whites from Château de Rochemorin are astonishing wines. They reveal a particular expression of the Sauvignon grape variety, with its notes of citrus fruit and flowers, finely wooded. Carefully controlled barrel ageing on the lees does not leave its mark on the wines, but enhances the richness of the palate and supports a remarkable range of aromas.

Weather conditions

2019 was marked by a fairly mild winter, resulting in early bud break. Spring rainfall was scarce and drought conditions set in in early summer. Rainfall in August provided a welcome relief for winegrowers.

Harvest

Tasting

Crystal clear, a quite pale yellow colour with some green reflections.
Expressive on the nose, with finely oaked citrus notes. After aeration, more floral notes (broom) emerge.
Very fresh attack. Acidity and freshness are subtly balanced; good fat on the mid-palate, with floral and some more exotic notes, and light, perfectly integrated oak. Very well balanced overall.
