Weather conditions
2019 was marked by a fairly mild winter, resulting in early bud break. Spring rainfall was scarce and drought conditions set in in early summer. Rainfall in August provided a welcome relief for winegrowers.

Tasting
Attractive dark red colour, intense, with some carmine reflections. Pleasant nose, a little shy at first, but after shaking it reveals tasty notes of black fruits (blueberry, blackberry but also elderberry), associated with a very discreet woodiness. The attack is supple and fruity. On the palate, it is a wine with good fullness, volume and a pleasant freshness. Nice length. The notes of black fruit, very ripe (blueberry, blackberry) are also present with a spicy touch on the finish. The tannins are well blended. This Château de Quantin 2019 is very pleasant to drink, especially with grilled meats, pork fillets with chanterelles, but also cheeses.
