Weather conditions
The 2017 vintage was one of the earliest on record. The growing season was marked by a dry winter and spring (46% less rainfall than usual), accompanied by temperatures 2°C above average (except for the frost in April). This dry summer weather was ideal for ripening the seeds until late August.

Tasting
2017 Château de Quantin is a brilliant, classy cherry-red colour.
The bouquet is particularly pleasant, displaying wonderful fruity aromas underscored by subtle empyreumatic overtones.
This wine is reminiscent of the finest Pessac-Léognan terroirs. It is particularly well-balanced and elegant on the palate while the delicate, well-integrated tannin means that it is a joy to drink, even when young.
