Tasting

Garnet-red colour that is as lovely as every other aspect of this wine.
Ripe fruit aromas that develop with aeration. The hints of almond and vanilla from barrel ageing blend well with the fruity components.
This wine has a rich, delicious flavour, as well as a fine tannic structure. It has a very long finish and will reach its peak in another 3 or 4 years.

Fresh and open in feel, with bright cassis, cherry preserve and singed mesquite notes. A light tarry streak gives the finish some oomph, but this is ready now. Drink now through 2022.

The 2015 Château Cruzeau has a superb bouquet, very well defined with blackberry and wild strawberry scents, the oak neatly folded into the fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with svelte tannin, peppery black fruit with a harmonious, gentle finish that feels long in the mouth. Bravo - this is an excellent Pessac-Léognan that I look forward to re-tasting once in bottle.
